On October 29, chorus members and Holiday Chorus guests met for a halloween-themed rehearsal to watch a portion of the Sweet Adelines International Harmony Classic competition in Kansas City. A highlight of the evening was watching several former members perform their "witchy" contest package with Midwest Crossroads chorus!

Once again, we are inviting women from our community to join us in a holiday chorus. In this special event, guests are invited to join us through the holiday season with no expense or long-term commitment.
We will rehearse every Tuesday from October 1 through December 10 where you will learn a number of songs from our seasonal repertoire. And once you know the songs, you will also be invited to perform with us during our holiday performances!

What a fun night, celebrating the completion of our summer "Camp Harmony" event! Six guests completed the 5 week camp and sang the camp songs with us at last night's concert. We enjoyed getting to know all of you, and we hope you'll keep coming back!
Guests are always welcome at our Tuesday night rehearsals. If this looks fun, you should come sing with us too!

Gina Green has been selected Singer of the Month for August/September!
Monika Wayne passed the baton (actually the necklace!) to Gina, mentioning how helpful Gina has been in her role as Lead Section Leader.
Singer of the Month is currently awarded bi-monthly due to the small size of our chorus. All members are eligible once per year. Gina is the first two-time recipient of the award.

Due to the upcoming International Competition in Louisville, as well as Halloween, we are canceling our rehearsal on October 31.
Our director Sherry will be competing at Harmony Classic on Halloween night with her quartet, Sublime... on her birthday! Happy Birthday Sherry! Harmony Classic is scheduled from 6-11 pm.

What a great culmination of Camp Harmony! We had a great turnout for our concert, and it was wonderful to perform for all of our family and friends.

On December 19, we joined South Bend/Mishawaka Valleyaires to present A Cappella Christmas, our annual holiday benefit concert. We want to express our thanks to all of our advertisers as well as those who attended the concert... this year's record proceeds of $2358.10 will truly make a difference to this wonderful local organization, and we couldn't have done it without you.
Today, River Bend Chorus Director, Sherry Berkley, and Finance Coordinator, Sherri Fox, met to present the check to Dorota Janik, Executive Director of Reins of Life - Therapeutic horseback riding.

Several weeks ago, we were joined by The Valleyaires, as well as Santa Claus, as we resumed our annual Christmas benefit concert. It was wonderful to perform again, and we were thrilled to learn this week that we raised $2358 for Reins of Life, this year's beneficiary.

River Bend Chorus had our first holiday performance since 2019! What fun to be back in front of a live audience, celebrating the Season in Song! As part of the History Museum’s Christmas at Copshaholm, we gave two performances of our Holiday repertoire of Christmas carols and holiday songs. We were joined by the quartet ‘Serenade’ with special selections of Home for the Holidays and Christmas Time is Here. With a private performance and the benefits show yet to come, the joy of singing has made this years ‘count-down to Christmas’ very merry and bright!
We hope you are able to join us on the 19th to celebrate A Cappella Christmas with us!

We loved singing at ArtBeat this year. There was a great crowd and the rain held off! We also had a booth where we were able to meet a lot of music lovers and we sold a lot of popcorn from Shirley's Popcorn. We can't wait for ArtBeat 2023!

Peg Adams. one of River Bend's charter members, recently was recognized as a 50-year member of Sweet Adelines, International. Peg is a long-time assistant director of River Bend and at one time was the chorus's front-line director. She has always been an active leader in River Bend. Congratulations, Peg!

River Bend founding member, Sandy Pisani, achieved the mileston of 50 years as a member of Sweet Adelines International. A long-time lead singer in the chorus, Sandy also was our hair and makeup chairperson for many years, making sure we always looked beautiful whether performing for local audiences or on the regional contest stage.

On Tuesday May 19 we had a socially distanced meeting in the parking lot to celebrate our 2020 Sweet Adeline of the Year (we broke the distance only briefly to photograph the event.)Congratulations Kandi!
